graduates

Adult Education along with over 210 family members and guests recognized 30 program graduates at

our graduation ceremony held on May 13. The graduation ceremony began by recognizing the

outstanding accomplishments and achievements of this year’s students. Five students were awarded a

white honor cord in recognition of perfect attendance. These five students attended every hour of their

scheduled program without missing or being late. Fourteen students were awarded a black, gold and

white honor cord and were inducted into the National Adult Education Honor Society. Each month one

student is recognized as the student of the month, these students were awarded a silver honor cord.

Amanda Smith was recognized as Student of the Year and received a gold honor cord. Additionally, four

students received their high school diploma through one of four adult diploma programs. The diplomas

are issued by Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and presented to the student by

Superintendent Rodney Cheyney.
