Heartland Technical Education Center is proud to announce multiple scholarship opportunities to support adult learners pursuing career-related training in high-demand fields.
Adult students who graduated from Ashland, Hillsdale, Loudonville, Mapleton, or West Holmes high schools within the past three years may be eligible for the Associate School Scholarship, a $1,000 tuition award applicable to any of Heartland’s 600–900 hour adult programs, including:
Dental Assisting
Electrical
HVAC/R
Millwright Industrial Maintenance Technician
Medical Assisting
Welding
In addition, all adult students are invited to attend Heartland’s Program Spotlight on Wednesday, July 31, with sessions offered from 12:30–2:00 PM and 6:00–7:30 PM. Attendees will receive $100 off tuition and be entered into a drawing to win a $500 scholarship, awarded in each program area.
Other available financial opportunities include:
Ohio Work Ready Grant – Awards ranging from $225 to $705, based on program hours, for students who meet FAFSA eligibility.
Adult Diploma Achievers Scholarship – $250 for students enrolling in a full-time program within three years of completing the Adult Diploma program.
GED Earner Scholarship – $250 for students enrolling in a full-time program within three years of earning their GED.
“These scholarships open the door for adult learners to gain real-world skills without the burden of full tuition costs,” said Nancy Hall, Adult Education Director. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to invest in yourself and your future.”
