ABOUT THE PROGRAM
If you like hands-on work, problem-solving, and technology, the HVAC/R program is your pathway to a high-demand, well-paying career. Students learn how to install, maintain, and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems that keep homes, schools, hospitals, and businesses running comfortably year-round.

Students gain real-world experience working with industry-standard tools and equipment while learning electrical systems, refrigeration cycles, airflow, troubleshooting, and safety procedures. Classroom instruction is paired with lab-based learning so students can practice what they learn in a professional, shop-style environment.

Curriculum Focus:
• Heating and cooling systems
• HVAC Refrigeration
• Use and interpret construction drawings for material calculations and selection
• Fundamentals of sheet metal trade as it relates to ductwork
• Introduction HVAC to electrical systems & components
• Pipefitting relating to gas lines and drain lines

Suggested credits earned prior to junior year for this program are:
