ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Students will learn numerous skills and have the opportunity to earn industry recognized certifications, making them competitive in the hiring process for jobs the criminal justice field. Students will focus on police skills, corrections, dispatching and the field of homeland security.

Suggested credits earned prior to junior year for this program are:

Earn Ohio Department of Education (ODE) credential point towards graduation during your junior and senior years.
• ORDC Correctional Officer-Provisional (12 points)
• 9-1-1 Dispatcher Certification (9 points)
• National Incident Management System 100, 700 (4 points each)
• National Incident Management System 200, 800 (1 point each)
• OHSA 10 (1 point)
• CPR/First Aid (1 point)
• Taser, ASP Baton and OC/Pepper Spray (1 point each)

Students may qualify for articulation college credit and the Tuition Freedom Scholarship at North Central State College.
