Animal Veterinary Science

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Students work directly with small, large and exotic animals in a lab environment, learning the necessary skills to pursue a veterinary technician career. Students will gain hands-on training for animal care, learn veterinary assisting skills and the skills necessary to communication with animal owners.

This program requires animal care on weekends.

• Surgical assisting

Students prepare for immediate employment, have the opportunity to earn advanced certifications, and are prepared to pursue higher education. Our students learn by hands-on training, through interactive field trips and work experience.

Suggested credits earned prior to junior year for this program are:
